Cloud planning-to-playout workflow for Film Europe channels

Film Europe is a European film channel group focused on European and independent film content, operating from Prague, Bratislava, London, and Cannes. After many years of using PROVYS, Film Europe moved entire broadcasting technology to the cloud.

PROVYS Sphere manages planning, metadata, rights, contracts, licences, and transmission records, while Stream Circle handles playout and automation. The operation is fully web-based, supports multiple users, and removes the need to maintain dedicated playout hardware on site.

PROVYS Sphere and Stream Circle are integrated through the industry-standard BXF interface, allowing transmission plans and logs to be exchanged between both systems.

The project also included practical workflow setup for daily operations like house ID creation and the new TV grid for schedule preparation. The result is a streamlined planning-to-playout workflow delivered and supported by PROVYS Technologies.
